On the expiration of his or her term of office or his or her resignation thereof or removal therefrom, the Fire Chief and any member of the Volunteer Fire Department shall immediately deliver to the Village Clerk, the Fire Chief or his or her successor, all books, records, equipment and property of every description in his or her possession belonging to the village or pertaining to the Fire Department.
