§ 35.01 DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED; APPOINTMENT; TERMS OF OFFICE; REMOVALS.
   (A)   There is hereby established a department of the village government which shall be known as the Volunteer Fire Department and which shall consist of the following officials as appointed by the Mayor, subject to the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees, which offices are hereby created: Fire Chief, one Deputy Fire Chief, one Assistant Fire Chief, two Captains, eight Lieutenants and volunteer firefighter members as deemed necessary by the Mayor.
   (B)   All members of the Volunteer Fire Department shall be appointed to terms expiring the first Thursday in May each and every year, except for probationary members whose terms shall be for six months or until the first Thursday in May, whichever is shorter.
   (C)   Members of the Volunteer Fire Department may be removed by the Mayor as provided by law.
