§ 34.15 DIRECTOR OF POLICE OPERATIONS.
   (A)   Created. The position of the Director of Police Operations is hereby created.
      (1)   The Director of Police Operations shall be appointed by the Mayor for an annual term of May 1 to April 30 subject to posting bond and oath.
      (2)   The Director of Police Operations shall serve as an “at will” employee of the village, at the pleasure of the Mayor.
      (3)   The Director of Police Operations shall be a civilian position with the duties as are designated by the Chief of Police from time to time.
      (4)   The Director of Police Operations shall report to the Chief of Police.
      (5)   The salary of the Director of Police Operations shall be set by ordinance.
   (B)   Effective date. This section shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law and shall be published in pamphlet form by the Village Clerk.
