§ 34.08 VACATIONS AND LEAVES.
   (A)   Vacations.
      (1)   Vacations, at full pay and as scheduled by the Chief of Police, may be allowed upon the following basis:
         (a)   After one year of full-time duty: one week of vacation may be permitted;
         (b)   After two years of full-time duty: two weeks of vacation may be permitted; and
         (c)   After five years of full-time duty: three weeks of vacation may be permitted.
      (2)   Any and all vacations, or portions thereof, may be cancelled or postponed upon order of the Police Chief in the event of emergency or Department necessity.
   (B)   Sick leaves. Sick leaves shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Fire and Police Commission of the village.
   (C)   Leaves of absence. Leaves of absence shall be granted only by the Fire and Police Commission as provided by law.
