The Village Attorney shall be paid for his or her general counsel and advice as provided at the time of his or her appointment and/or by the annual appropriation ordinance. In addition, for litigation services, special assessment and bond ordinance matters, he or she shall be paid as further provided by contract by an ordinance of the Mayor and Board.
