§ 31.14 COMPENSATION.
   (A)   The annual compensation of each of the Village Trustees shall be $10,000, payable in two semi-annual installments, or as otherwise directed by the Board.
   (B)   Trustees will be allowed two absences in each year for which compensation may be paid at the foregoing rate. Trustees may be absent from more than two meetings each year and receive payment of the compensation stated; provided, the absent Trustee shows due cause for each additional absence, including, but not limited to, illness of the Trustee, serious illness of a member of the Trustee’s immediate family, death in the Trustee’s immediate family or other similar cause.
   (C)   The compensation stated shall apply to those persons elected to the Office of Village Trustee for the village on and after April, 2025.
   (D)   Each Village Trustee may receive reimbursement from the village for expenses incurred by the member in attending meetings of the Board of Trustees or for other expenses incurred by the Trustee in the course of performing official duties, as approved by the Board of Trustees.
