§ 72.03 LIMITATIONS OF STOPPING AND PARKING.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to stop or park such vehicle except in a case of real emergency or in compliance with the provisions of this traffic code or when directed by a police officer or traffic sign or signal at any time in the following places:
      (1)   On the mainly-traveled portion of any roadway or on any other place in the roadway where vehicles stand in any manner other than as specified in § 72.02.
      (2)   On a sidewalk.
      (3)   In front of sidewalk ramps provided for persons with disabilities.
      (4)   In front of a public or private driveway.
      (5)   Within an intersection or on a crosswalk.
      (6)   At any place where official signs prohibit stopping or parking. This does not apply to police officers when operating properly identified vehicles during the performance of their official duties.
      (7)   Within thirty (30) feet of any flashing beacon, traffic sign, or traffic-control device.
      (8)   On any controlled access highway.
      (9)   Within a highway tunnel.
      (10)   Within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant.
      (11)   In an area between the roadways of a divided highway.
      (12)   No person shall move a vehicle not lawfully under his control into any such prohibited area.

   (B)   The city-owned parking lot adjoining the City Building shall be available for general public parking to accommodate businesses located in the adjacent Crestview Hills Town Center and/or Town Center patrons during the regular business hours of the Town Center businesses. It shall be illegal for any motor vehicle operator to park a motor vehicle overnight on the city-owned lot during the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
   (C)   The parking lot adjoining the Police Department shall not be available for general public parking at any time, and it shall be illegal for anyone to park in the lot adjoining the Police Department unless said person is engaged in business with or for the Police Department.
   (D)   It shall be illegal for anyone to park a motor vehicle in a spot marked "Reserved For City Purposes" on the city-owned parking lot that adjoins the City Building. Only city employees or persons engaged in business with or for the city may park in spots designated as "Reserved for City Purposes".
   (E)   Signs shall be posted advising the public which portions of the city-owned lot are available for general public parking, and which portions are designated as either "Reserved For City Purposes'' or "No Parking".
