(A) Monuments shall be accurately placed at the intersection of all lines forming angles and at the beginning and end of curve in the perimeter of the property being subdivided. The individual responsible for placing such monuments shall notify the Borough Engineer for inspection purposes.
(B) Where new streets are to be dedicated to the borough, additional monuments shall be placed along one side of the future right-of-way, as follows:
(1) At the intersection of all lines forming angles and at the beginning and end of curves, excluding curb arcs at intersections; and
(2) Intermediate monuments shall be placed at such places where topographic or other conditions make it impossible to sight between two sequential required monuments.
(C) All monuments shall be placed by or under the direct supervision of a registered professional engineer or surveyor such that the drill hole or pin at the center of the monument shall coincide exactly with the point of intersection being monumented.
(D) Monuments shall be set with their top level with the finished grade of the surrounding ground, except that monuments which are placed within the lines of existing or proposed sidewalks shall be so located (preferably beneath the sidewalks) that their tops will not be affected by lateral movement of the sidewalks. Proper access shall be provided for their use.
(E) In built-up areas, streets may be monumented at range lines, within the right-of-way lines of the street and five feet distance therefrom.
(F) Markers shall be set at all points on intersection, changes in direction, and at the beginning and ending of curves (including curb arcs) of lot lines, except where a monument is required under division (A) above.
(G) Where an existing monument or marker is found at the proper location, no new monument or marker need be placed.
(H) All monuments and markers shall be placed by or under the direct supervision of a registered professional engineer or professional land surveyor.
