§ 30.37 MEMBERS REFUSING TO ATTEND.
   Any member of the City Council who shall neglect or refuse to attend any meeting of the City Council shall be fined the sum of $25 for failure to attend such meeting. No member shall receive compensation for neglecting or refusing to attend said meeting under the provisions of § 30.35(A). A person may neglect or refuse up to two meetings a year and still be paid. No procedure is set forth in the statutes for determining that a vacancy exists. Where a true question exists as to the presence of a vacancy, a hearing should be held before the vacancy is declared. A registered letter should be sent to the last known address of the person whose office is in question.
