(A) Before performing work for hire within the jurisdiction of the city, all contractors in the following trades or performing work in the following fields shall register with the Department of Planning and Community Development and otherwise comply with the requirements of this chapter:
(1) Carpentry;
(2) Roofing;
(3) Electrical;
(4) Plumbing;
(5) Concrete;
(6) Landscaping;
(7) Masonry;
(8) Excavation;
(9) Demolition;
(10) Siding;
(11) Heating, ventilation and air conditioning HVAC;
(12) Fire alarms, fire suppression systems and commercial hood systems.
(B) Contractors who repair, clean or maintain fire alarms, fire suppression systems or commercial hood systems should provide a copy of their reports and other relevant documentation to the Fire Department within 30 days of the work being done.
