(A) Any person wishing to solicit within the corporate limits of the city must first submit a fully completed application to the City Chief of Police and pay the required licensing and processing fees to the City Clerk-Treasurer's Office. A valid government issued photo ID is required to be presented with the making of an application.
(B) The application will include the following information:
(1) The applicant's name, current physical address, telephone number, email address, and date of birth;
(2) The name, address, and telephone number under which the applicant will be doing business;
(3) A description of the business that will be conducted, goods or property to be sold, or purpose of the non-commercial solicitation;
(4) The duration of license requested;
(5) The place where business will be conducted;
(6) A valid government issued photo ID of the applicant;
(7) An authorization to conduct a criminal record check or original or copy of a criminal record check with a signed waiver stating that applicant agrees to allow the City to use the information in the application to conduct investigation pursuant to § 114.05; and
(8) Proof of surety or cash bond filed with the City Clerk-Treasurer running to the City of Crawfordsville in the amount of $1,000, conditioning that the applicant will comply fully with the provisions in this chapter.
(C) Each applicant must pay a non-refundable license fee in full prior to issuance. License fees are as follows:
One-Week License | $25 |

Three-Month License | $75 |
One-Year License | $150 |
(D) If the Police Chief approves the application, a license and non-transferable identification card will be issued to the applicant.
