§ 97.09 PROHIBITED CONDUCT IN PARKS.
   (A)   No unauthorized person shall write on, mutilate or deface in any manner any building, fence, bench, masonry, statue, ornament or tree or grounds in any public park. There shall be no digging by unauthorized personnel. (‘85 Code, § 7.02)
   (B)   No unauthorized person shall pull, pluck or break any flowers or fruit; cut down, girdle or break down any sapling, tree, shrub or plant; handle or injure any trees, flowers, shrubs or plants whatsoever, or limbs, twigs or leaves thereof; or climb any tree in any public park. No unauthorized person shall go upon the grass, lawn or turf of any park where signs inscribed “Keep Off The Grass” have been posted by the Superintendent. (‘85 Code, § 7.03)
   (C)   No person shall use any language that threatens or abuses another person, fight, throw any stone or missile, or litter or dump trash in any public park. All city ordinances and/or state laws in reference to public conduct shall be enforceable. (‘85 Code, § 7.05)
   (D)   Camping shall be prohibited except in posted areas of the park. (‘85 Code, § 7.07(a))
   (E)   Begging and gambling are prohibited at all times. (‘85 Code, § 7.07(b))
   (F)   (1)   No person or persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall be permitted within any public park.
      (2)   No person shall introduce any intoxicating beverages or drugs into any public park, either for his or her own use or for sale, sell or give away the same, except as specifically allowed by this section. (‘85 Code, § 7.08)
      (3)   A person may sell or consume alcoholic beverages on the premises of the General Lew Wallace Study and Museum, provided that:
         (a)   All alcoholic beverages must be served by a caterer licensed by the State of Indiana to serve alcohol and in compliance with all applicable laws;
         (b)   Alcoholic beverages may be served only if food is also served at the event;
         (c)   Alcoholic beverages may be served only after the museum closes to the general public; and
         (d)   An off-duty police officer must be present during the event, at the expense of the event host.
      (4)   Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the operations and management contractor on Crawfordsville Municipal Golf Course premises in compliance with all applicable laws. The operations and management contractor must secure all licensing or permitting, or both, that Indiana law requires for the sale of alcoholic beverages. The operations and management contractor must further be solely responsible for the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages on golf course premises. Only alcoholic beverages purchased at the golf course may be possessed or consumed on Municipal Golf Course premises.
   (G)   No unauthorized person shall paint, post or otherwise affix any bill, notice, sign or other paper upon any structure or thing within the parks, or upon any of the gates enclosing the same or any part thereof, without the consent of the Director of Parks. (‘85 Code, § 7.10)
   (H)   It is unlawful for anyone to build a fire in any place other than those units provided specifically for that purpose. (‘85 Code, § 7.14)
   (I)   It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale any goods or merchandise of any kind in the park without the consent of the Director. The Board of Parks and Recreation may, from time to time, adopt rules and regulations not inconsistent herewith for the protection of the public or the parks. (‘85 Code, § 7.17)
