§ 71.60 TRUCK PROHIBITIONS; EXCEPTIONS.
   (A)   No person shall drive or operate, or cause to be driven or operated any truck upon the streets, bridges, and culverts within the city, except on designated and marked city truck routes as hereinafter described. Provided further that all through trucks must drive or operate only on designated federal or state numbered highways.
   (B)   As an exception to the prohibitions herein set out, trucks shall be permitted to operate on streets other than those designated as truck routes for the sole and only purposes of delivering or picking up goods or property at places not located on designated truck routes; however, in taking advantage of this exception, the trucks shall be required to follow the designated truck route to that point which is nearest to the place of delivery or pick-up, and then utilize the shortest possible route to the place of delivery or pick-up, and return to the nearest designated truck route by the shortest possible route.
   (C)   Any violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine of $2,500.00.
