(A) There is hereby created the Cumulative Communications Center Fund (the “Fund”) within the city.
(B) The purposes of the Fund are as follows:
(1) To pay for communications center dispatcher training and uniforms as needed;
(2) To pay for non-communications equipment, including but not limited to office furniture and furnishings; and
(3) To pay for non-recurring expenses of the center not otherwise paid for by the other sources of funding of the center; but
(4) The Fund shall not be used to pay dispatcher salaries or any other recurring operating expenses of the center, it being the intention of the Council that the Fund support non-recurring expenses of the center not otherwise provided for in the Police Department’s annual budget.
(B) The Chief of Police shall be the official who approves expenses from this fund, and who signs claims from the Fund to be submitted to the Board of Public Works and Safety for its review, as any other claim from other fund subject to its jurisdiction.
