§ 93.22 PERMITTING.
   (A)   Building permit.
      (1)   No permit for a Class 1 structure will be issued for construction, addition, alteration, demolition of any structure, or work being done on a fire alarm or sprinkler system within the jurisdiction limits of the Crawfordsville Fire Department without prior plan review and approval of the Fire Chief, the Division Chief of Code Enforcement and/or his designee(s).
      (2)   No permit for Class 1 or Class 2 combustible construction will be issued before the required and/or approved water source and the required Fire Department access roads being in-service and verified by the Fire Chief, Division Chief of Code Enforcement and/or his designee.
   (B)   Occupancy permit. Before the occupancy of any newly constructed structure and/or tenant area, an inspection and approval must be given by the building inspector and the Fire Chief, or the Division Chief of Code Enforcement and/or his designee. After the final inspection occurs, a Certificate of Occupancy will be signed by the building official and the Division Chief of Code Enforcement. This will then allow the occupant to move into that building. Occupancy before the final inspection of the Fire Chief, the Division Chief of Code Enforcement and/or his designee(s) and issuing Certificate of Occupancy will result in a fee in this chapter.
