(A) General.
(1) The Fire Department Code Enforcement Division will perform a review of all site plans, building plans (construction), fire protection system plans and specifications including sprinkler, fire alarm systems and hood suppression systems of any project within the boundaries of the Fire Department, to determine whether such plans and specifications comply with the rules of the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission (FPBSC), this chapter and any other codes, standards or rules that may apply. Separate review and permits will be required for are protection systems based on the Fire Protection Permit standards in this chapter.
(2) Plans shall be submitted in traditional 245 (36") paper form.
(3) If available, besides paper form, plans will be submitted in digital format compatible with current Fire Department software to assist the Department in the pre-fire planning of that structure. These will include Site and Construction Plans submitted in Auto CAD format.
(4) Fire Department Plan Review will occur at these phases: Site Plan, Construction Plan and Fire Protection Systems Plan. This review will run concurrent to the city plan review and any issues or corrections that must be made to the plans will be completed by the developer before approving the Planning and Building Department and the Fire Department. No city or Fire Department approvals or permits will be given or issued until review compliance has occurred.
(B) Existing building modifications. Plans will be submitted to the Division Chief of Code Enforcement before any alteration, remodel, addition or demolition of any part of a building equipped with an Automatic Fire Suppression System and/or Automatic Fire Detection and/or Fire Alarm System.
