§ 34.30 FIRE DEPARTMENT AMBULANCE AND RESCUE SERVICE.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, MEMBERS OF IMMEDIATE FAMILIES shall mean the wife or husband and children of the employee or retiree who lives in the same household and is a dependent as defined by the Internal Revenue Code.
   (B)   The Fire Department Ambulance and Rescue Service of the city may furnish free basic Emergency Medical Care (ambulance) to employees and former employees of the city and others, as herein provided.
   (C)   This service shall be for members, widows and dependents of the Police Officers and Firefighters Pension Fund, all full-time employees of all city departments, including Crawfordsville Electric Light and Power. All city employees and retirees, as defined by the Public Employees Retirement Funds are also eligible for such service, including their immediate families if such employees were employed by the city full time for ten years, or a member, widow or dependent of a member of the Police Officer or Firefighter Pension Funds or of current full-time employees.
   (D)   All elected city officials shall also be eligible for such service, but only during their term of office. This section shall include elected officials of any township government with which the city has a contract to provide emergency medical and rescue service in force at the time service is required.
   (E)   Any firefighter, emergency medical responder or law enforcement officer (police) who is injured in the line of duty whether they are a city employee or not may be eligible for such service.
