§ 34.27 AMBULANCE DIVISION.
   There is hereby established within the city an Ambulance Division under the direction of the Fire Chief. This division shall be considered a “Department” separate from the Fire Department in respect to pension, benefits and wages. This department shall be a branch of the Fire Department with its members performing all applicable emergency medical duties as required by the State Emergency Medical Commission and local policies. They shall have no involvement with interior fire suppression activities but may be used in the capacity of support. All ambulance “department” personnel shall be on the city’s P.E.R.F. program and not the Firefighters Pension Fund unless otherwise directed by the Board of Public Works and Safety.
