There is hereby established within the Fire Department a Training Division under the direction of the Fire Chief. The Chief shall appoint a Training Instructor who shall be, or will become in a time specified by the Chief, a First Class Instructor as certified by the State of Indiana. It shall be the responsibility of the Training Instructor to develop course outlines, tests, prepare lesson plans and maintain training records on all fire and ambulance personnel, as prescribed in NFPA 1041, Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications and NFPA 1401, Fire Service Training Reports and Records.
