§ 35.51 MAYOR’S PROMOTIONS AND SPONSORSHIP FUND.
   (A)   Established. Under I.C. 36-7-2-7 and I.C. 36-1-3 et. seq., the Mayor’s Promotions and Sponsorship Fund 430 (“Promotions Fund”) is created that the City Clerk-Treasurer will maintain for the Mayor.
   (B)   Funding. This Promotions Fund will be funded by separate appropriations or donations as received from time to time by the Mayor or other city officials, employees, or agents.
   (C)   Use. The Promotions Fund will be used exclusively by the mayor to pay for expenses to promote the city, which expenses include, but are not limited to:
      (1)   Expenses incurred in the promotion of city activities and opportunities, including meeting room rental, decorations, meals, travel, memorabilia, awards, expenses incurred in interviewing job applicants and expenses incurred in developing relations with other units of government;
      (2)   Flowers or other appropriate items, for the purpose of demonstrating the concern sympathy, or support of city officials or employees, or both, in response to an individual’s death, illness, hospitalization, or other similar circumstance;
      (3)   Food, beverages, tableware, decorations, entertainment, or other items in connection with a city-sponsored event or program, or with work by employees outside of normal work hours; and
      (4)   Any other expenses of a civic or governmental nature the mayor deems to be in the city’s best interest.
   (D)   Non-Reverting fund. This is a nonreverting fund.
   (E)   Transfer of funds. Any funds currently in the Police Building Bonds 99 Fund 430 will revert to the Crawfordsville General Fund, and the Police Building Bonds 99 Fund 430 is renamed and repurposed as set out in this section.
