There is hereby established a Board of Trustees of the Police Fund which shall be governed by the provisions of IC 36-8-6-1(a), 36-8-6-2, 36-8-6-3, 36-8-6-4, and 36-8-6-5. The Board shall perform certain duties prescribed by IC 36-8-6 and 36-8-8 concerning the statutory pensions of city police. The Board shall be governed by the appropriate state laws and appropriate ordinances of the city not in conflict herewith.
