Sewer line from sewer main to the residence is the responsibility of the property owner. The town excavates on town property and the owner on owner’s property. It is the town’s responsibility for sewer mains; a main is a line consisting of more than one tap. It is the property owner’s responsibility to pay for sewer taps. A tap is a service line to an individual user.
