These standards apply to all new developments within the town limits.
(A) All users of the town water and sewage systems shall have individual hookups to the town mains.
(B) The town shall not extend or enlarge services, including streets, unless the full cost of the necessary extension can be borne by the users.
(C) Extensions of sewer mains, water mains and electricity shall be placed within platted streets on their logical extensions.
(D) (1) All developments generating sewage effluent shall connect to the town sewage system, except those in the areas designated for individual septic systems on the zoning map. Lots utilizing individual septic systems shall be adequately sized to accommodate the system.
(2) Manufactured home courts and subdivisions shall not be located where they cannot be served by the town sewage system by gravity flow.
(E) All additions to the town water and sewer mains, except service connections, shall be approved by the State Department of Environmental Quality.
(F) No water lines, except individual service connections, shall be less than six inches in diameter.
(G) No sewage lines, except individual service connections, shall be less than eight inches in diameter.
(H) An application may be rejected if there is not sufficient capacity in the water or sewerage systems for the development.
(I) Pretreatment of sewage effluent may be required prior to its entering into the town sewage mains.
(J) Any damage to the public infrastructure caused by the builder shall be repaired by the builder to the satisfaction of the Building Official.
