147.05 FIRE AUXILIARY.
   There is created within the Fire Department of the City a Fire Auxiliary, to consist of not more than twenty members. The auxiliary firefighter shall not be less than eighteen years of age or more than fifty-four years of age. Those members serving who attain the age of fifty-five years shall automatically be terminated as members of the Auxiliary. The members of the Fire Auxiliary shall have the powers and duties that are prescribed by the Director of Public Safety and Service, and shall be under the supervision of the Chief of the Fire Department or his appointed representative. The members of the Fire Auxiliary shall receive compensation of one dollar ($1.00) per man, per year, payable from the Fire Salaries Fund.
