(a) Every person who is the parent or guardian or having the care or control of any minor or other individual shall, to the extent of the means, power, or authority of the parent, guardian or other person that could properly be used or exerted for that purpose, cause the minor or individual to be promptly, frequently and effectually immunized against poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, rubella, haemophilus, influenza, hepatitis B, varicella, diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus. It shall be the duty of the Board of Health to provide for the gratuitous vaccination and immunization of residents unable to pay for those services.
(b) No person shall admit into any public or parochial school of the City any person not properly immunized against poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, rubella, haemophilus, influenza, hepatitis B, varicella, diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus. It is hereby made the duty of the Health Commissioner to enforce the provisions of this section.
