The paving of streets by the flexible pavement method shall be done with an asphaltic concrete surface and integral curbs and gutter in accordance with the following specifications:
(a) The integral curb and gutter sections shall have a curb seven inches high, six inches thick at the base, five inches thick at the top and one inch batter on the face.
(b) The gutter apron slab shall be no less than thirty-six inches wide.
(c) Flexible pavement shall be constructed as follows:
(1) The base shall be eight inches thick, constructed of two courses of water- bound macadam, each of which shall be four inches thick.
(2) The surface of the base shall be treated with a prime coat of asphalt emulsion.
(3) The surface course shall be composed of two courses: the first or bottom to be B-35 asphaltic concrete one and one-half inches thick, and the surface course to be T-35 asphaltic concrete one and one-half inches thick.
(4) The pavement shall have a crown which shall have a parabolic curve that is five and one-half inches higher at the center line than at the gutter line.
