905.06 MOVING BUILDINGS.
No person shall move any dwelling, structure, or other building on the public streets or thoroughfares within the City without obtaining a permit from the Director of Public Safety and Service. In order to obtain the permit required herein, the applicant shall furnish his own bond or surety bond to the effect that he will save the City harmless of all damages, claims, suits, or actions in law or equity that might arise as a result of moving the building. The applicant for a permit required herein shall furnish the Director with a clearance document from the various public utilities which might be affected within the City by the moving of the building. Only after the Director is satisfied that the foregoing prerequisites are in good and sufficient form and that the moving of the structure will not unduly hamper the flow of traffic or block the streets of the City for an unreasonable length of time, or cause undue damage to the streets of the City, shall the permit required herein be issued.
