541.01 HANDBILLS.
   (a)   Placarding Property Without Consent. No person shall stick or post any handbill or placard of any description on any public or private building or on any post, fence, billboard, or any other structure or thing which is the property of another, without permission of the occupant or owner of the property.
   (b)   Posting Signs on Poles or Standards.
      (1)   No person shall fasten, place or in any manner attach any advertising signs, bills, or posters of any description on any pole or standard on any street or public place within the City.
      (2)   Any advertising sign, bill, or poster of any description maintained, fastened, placed, tacked or in any manner attached to any pole or standard on any street or public place within the corporate limits of the City is hereby declared to be a nuisance and shall be abated in the following manner. The Director of Public Safety and Service is hereby authorized and directed to remove all signs, bills and posters of any kind or description attached to any poles or standards on any street or public place within the corporate limits of the City.
   (c)   Posting Legal Notices. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the posting of any handbill or notice of any public sale of property by the County, any administrator, executor, or licensed auctioneer, or any notice required by law to be posted.

   (d)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
