505.09 ANIMAL EXCREMENT.
   (a)   Any animal which scratches, digs, or defecates upon any lawn, tree, shrub, plant, sidewalk, building, park, playground, or private property, other than the property of the owner or person in charge or control of such animal, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. No person being the owner of or in charge of or control of any animal shall allow or permit such animal to commit such a nuisance on any school ground, sidewalk, building, park, playground, or upon any private property other than the property of the owner or person in charge or control of such animal. If the owner or person in charge or control of such animal immediately removes all such feces deposited by such animal and disposes of same in a sanitary manner, such nuisance shall be considered abated.

   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor for each offense or violation. A separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day that a violation occurs or continues. (1993 Code 90.99)
