(a) Any owner or operator of a motor vehicle parked in violation of any provision of this chapter, shall discharge the violation by paying the Clerk of the Municipal Court a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00), provided the fine is paid within one week following the violation. If this is not done, a first notice of the violation will be mailed to the violating owner or operator. After the first notice has been mailed, the fine shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). If the fine is not paid within one week following the mailing of the first notice, second notice of the violation will be mailed to the violating owner or operator. After the second notice has been mailed the fine shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00). Any owner or operator failing to pay the fine as herein provided within one week after the date of the second notice has been mailed shall be punished for a minor misdemeanor as provided in Section 303.99.
(b) Any owner or operator of a motor vehicle parked in a handicap zone shall discharge the violation by paying the Clerk of the Municipal Court a fine of fifty dollars ($50.00), provided the fine is paid within one week following the violation. If this is not done a first notice of the violation will be mailed to the violating owner or operator. After the first notice has been mailed, the fine shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00). If the fine is not paid within one week following the mailing of the first notice, a second notice of the violation will be mailed to the violating owner or operator. After the second notice has been mailed, the fine shall be one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Any owner or operator failing to pay the fine as herein provided within one week after the date the second notice has been mailed shall be punished for a minor misdemeanor as provided in Section 303.99.
