925.14 REMOVAL OR MUTILATION OF PUBLIC TREES.
   No person, without privilege to do so, shall remove, destroy, girdle, or otherwise injure a vine, bush, shrub, sapling, tree, or crop standing or growing on the land of another or upon public land. In addition to the penalty provided in Section 925.99 herein, whoever violates this section is liable in treble damages to the City for tree lawn trees or to the owner of the tree for all other trees for the injury caused. This includes damage caused by motor vehicle accidents.
