The roof and flashing of any structure shall be sound, tight, and not have defects that admit rain. All missing shingles or other roofing materials shall be replaced with materials of a similar kind, nature, design, and color as the original thereof. Roof drainage shall be adequate to prevent dampness or deterioration in the interior portion of the structure. Roof drains, gutters, and downspouts shall be maintained in good repair and free from obstructions. Roof water shall be discharged away from the foundation in a manner that does not create a public nuisance or adversely affect adjacent properties.
