(a) The positions of a new Public Works Director and Public Works Assistant Director are created. Said positions replace the current Street Superintendent and Cemetery Superintendent positions. These positions are described in the job descriptions attached to Ordinance 32-12.
(b) The positions described above are appointed by the Mayor. The salaries for the positions are set by Council under the ordinance covering "positions that are exempt from collective bargaining".
(c) This department will be funded through the General Fund and established by the transfer of funds from the department line items being replaced.
