§ 30.031  ZONING ADMINISTRATOR.
   (A)   There is hereby created the office of Zoning Administrator for the village, who shall be appointed by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.
   (B)   The Zoning Administrator shall be responsible for administering the village’s Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Regulations, and Subdivision Regulations, and shall perform the duties of the Zoning Administrator as specified by the ordinances and regulations of the village.
   (C)   The Zoning Administrator shall hold office for one year, unless sooner removed by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, by and with the advice and consent of the Village Board.
   (D)   The Zoning Administrator may be compensated at such rate as may, from time to time, be established by ordinance.
   (E)   (1)   In the event that the position of Zoning Administrator shall be vacant, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees shall be responsible to see that the duties and functions of the office are performed in a timely manner. In the absence of an appointed Zoning Administrator, the duties may be performed by any one or more of the following: Village Clerk; Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; Village Attorney; Village Engineer; Planning Commission Chairperson; Planning Commission Vice Chairperson; Planning Commission Secretary; or other designee.
      (2)   The duties of the Zoning Administrator by any of the designees above named while such position is vacant shall be as official as if performed by the Zoning Administrator.
