145.03 FEE FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT.

   (a)   The Fire Department is authorized to charge all persons transported and/or other organizations assisted by the City’s Emergency Medical Service.

   (b)   The following fee schedule is established for the use of the City’s EMS units:

 

BLS base rate            $750.00             ALS base rate          $950.00             ALS II base rate         $1,150.00             Mileage            $16.00 per mile             Mutual Aid Medic Unit      $285.00 per transport             EMT Driver            $150.00 per transport             Mutual Aid EMS No Transports   $50.00 per on-scene call             (Lift Assist/Sign Offs/Patient Refusals)

   (c)   The fee scheduled contained herein is subject to annual review and modification by the Fire Chief who is hereby authorized to modify the fees for use of the City’s EMS units consistent with the costs of operating the EMS units.

   (d)   The Fire Department is hereby authorized to charge City residents by billing their insurance company for the usage and the Fire Department is authorized to pay all costs not covered by a City resident’s insurance.

   (e)   This billing schedule for the Fire Department shall take effect on February 7, 2022. (Ord. 0-02-22. Passed 2-7-22.)
