The City hereby authorizes the procedure described in Ohio R.C. 3929.86(C) and (D), which provides for the deposit of insurance proceeds with the City, to be implemented whereby any insurance company doing business in the State shall comply with the applicable provisions of Ohio R.C. 3929.86 prior to paying a claim to a named insured for fire damage. The Fire Chief is hereby designated as the officer authorized to carry out the duties of Ohio R.C. 3929.86. The Fire Chief shall file a certified copy of this section with the State Superintendent of Insurance. (Ord. 0-25-14. Passed 6-16-14.)
