925.07 PRETREATMENT OF COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL WASTES.
   (a)   If, the liquid foreign wastes from any commercial or industrial operation shall be found to contain excessive amounts of substance which would interfere with the proper function of the sewage treatment plant, the operator, owner or lessee of such operation, shall install proper pretreatment facilities so that the pretreatment effluent shall be of such a nature as to be treated at the sewer treatment plant.
   (b)   The pretreatment facility shall be designed by a qualified engineer, and shall be installed, operated and maintained in accordance with specific instructions of the Municipal Engineer. If the maintenance and/or operation is deemed unsatisfactory to the Municipal Engineer, the operator of the facility shall make immediate correction as specified by the Engineer.
   (c)   Any commercial or industrial operation upon notice that this pretreatment facility must be installed, must do so within thirty days. An extension may be granted by Council, if it is found that the extension is necessary.
   (d)   Failure to properly operate and maintain the pretreatment facility shall constitute cause for the Municipal Engineer to refuse any discharges from the operation into the municipal sewer system.
