The City Treasurer duly elected and/or appointed shall be responsible for the following:
(A) Per 11 Pa.C.S. § 11402.1, Except as otherwise provided by the act of December 31, 1965 (P.L.1257, No. 511), known as The Local Tax Enabling Act, the City Treasurer, by virtue of the City Treasurer's office, shall be the collector of the city, county, school and institution district taxes assessed or levied in the city by the proper authorities in the city. As tax collector, the City Treasurer shall maintain and keep an office which may be the same as that of the City Building for the purpose of receiving taxes during regular business hours.
(B) In addition, the City Treasurer shall faithfully and efficiently complete all mandatory duties and responsibilities of the role as established by Title 11 and other statutes, and/or revisions currently governing the position now or in the future.
(C) The City Treasurer shall be responsible for any other tasks and duties allowed for by statute and as assigned by the City Council.
