Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $500. In default of payment of the fine, such person shall be liable to imprisonment for not more than 60 days in the county jail. Any person continuing any such violation beyond one calendar day shall be deemed to have committed a separate offense for each calendar day such violation continues.
