(A) No motor vehicle nor any vehicle or conveyance not operated by a motor shall be parked in any space on the streets or this town which is designated as a no-parking zone by appropriate signs and or lettered.
(B) The provisions of this section are not to apply to any police officer or peace officer of this town, county and state, nor to any person who because of a mechanical failure of his or her vehicle or any emergency has to park his or her vehicle in a no-parking zone.
