(a) An employee who resigns without giving at least ten calendar days prior written notice prior to his last working day with the City shall forfeit any unused vacation leave to his credit, or pay in lieu thereof. Failure to comply with this provision, absent of special circumstances shall be a bar to future employment with the City and may generate an adverse recommendation by the City to prospective employers of the resigning employee at the discretion of the City Manager.
(b) Department/Division Heads shall render at least one month's written notice to resign in good standing unless waived by the City Manager.
