(a) Any vacant or unoccupied building or structure determined after inspection by the Fire Safety Inspector to be especially liable to fire or to endanger life or other property by reason of damage, lack of repair, age or dilapidation, shall be identified and marked by the Fire Safety Inspector to indicate the degree of hazard as required under the Ohio Fire Code.
(b) All marking required by this section shall be applied on the front of the building in close proximity to the front entrance, and in a location visible from the street where practical. Markings may be applied to the side or the read of a building if the Fire Department deems such placement necessary. Marking shall not be applied over doors, windows, or other openings where they may be obscured by smoke or fire.
