The City Manager or his duly authorized representative shall have the authority to examine all places of business and persons within the City subject to the provisions of this chapter, to determine if this chapter has been complied with and to enforce the provisions of this chapter against any person found to be violating the same.

It shall be unlawful for any solicitor or charitable solicitor to go upon any premise and ring the doorbell or rap or knock on any door or create any sound in any other manner calculated to attract the attention of any occupant of such residence at which a sign bearing the words "No Solicitors" is painted, affixed or otherwise exposed to public view.

Any person, firm, or corporation who pleads guilty or is found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not more than two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days, or both. Each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 55-16. Passed 6-27-16.)
