(a) All sewer construction observation shall be conducted by the Wastewater Superintendent or someone designated by him. The owner(s), developer, contractor or other persons constructing the sewer shall bear the cost of the construction observation. The cost will be at the same rate of pay such official or his designee is paid by the City. Payment for the construction observation services will be made to the Finance Department.
(b) Construction observations shall be provided during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekdays. Any construction observation requested during weekends or holidays or if construction observation services result in an excess of forty (40) hours in one (1) week (Sunday through Saturday), the contractor or person performing the work will be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the normal rate of construction observation with a minimum of two (2) hours charged.
(c) All work and the trench in which the sewer is laid shall be kept open, free and clear so that all the work is accessible at the time of construction observation.
