A. The rule for assigning individual numbers is based on lot frontage. A number is reserved for each fifteen feet of space or frontage, or fractional part thereof, whether improved or vacant, and always commences numbering odd or even consecutively outward from the base lines.
B. When a lot or parcel is twenty-five feet, thirty-three feet or forty feet wide, one to three numbers are reserved. When over thirty feet and up to sixty feet, two to four numbers are reserved. When property fronts on north or west aside of streets, even numbers are reserved from each one hundred, beginning with two. When property fronts on the south or east side of streets, odd numbers are reserved in the same manner, beginning with one. Numbers are reserved in that hundred block until all lots between the two grid lines are numbered, then the next hundred begins. (Prior code § 27-9)
