§ 852.05  REGISTRATION; NOTIFICATION OF CANVASSING.
   (a)   Every person subject to this chapter, prior to soliciting or peddling from door to door in the municipality, shall register his or her name, address and telephone number with the Police Department for identification purposes. However, if the solicitation is on behalf of an organization only, the responsible officer thereof shall register the name, address and telephone number of the organization.
   (b)   Such person or the responsible officer on behalf of an organization shall notify the Police Department personally of the time period and specific areas in the municipality in which soliciting or peddling will be conducted. No person or organization shall solicit or peddle from door to door at any time without having given such specific prior notice, and no person shall peddle or solicit in an area or at a time not previously listed with the Police Department.
