(a) Excepted from the permit and audible distance provisions of this chapter shall be schools, churches or other benevolent organizations that are conducting some special function, such as a carnival, bazaar or dance, solely for their own benefit.
(b) However, such schools, churches or other benevolent organizations conducting the aforesaid functions shall be required to cease all of this type of musical entertainment promptly at 12:00 midnight of each day of operation and remain silent until 12:00 noon of each succeeding day.
