§ 1494.02  RENTING, LEASING AND SELLING; CERTIFICATE REQUIRED.
   No owner or agent of an owner shall rent, lease or sell all or any part of a two- or three-family dwelling, multiple dwelling, rooming house or building containing a dormitory unless he or she has a valid certificate of authorized occupancy and exhibits the same to the prospective tenant or purchaser. Before the prospective tenant may take possession or the sale consumated, the existing owner shall present to the Housing Inspector, for verification and filing, the certificate of authorized occupancy with a dated signature of the prospective tenant or purchaser in the space provided.
