§ 1262.05  FEES.
   (a)   The fee schedule for a zoning permit, which fee shall include the issuance of an occupancy permit, shall be the following:
      (1)   The fee for multi-family new construction, additions or accessory structures having four or more units shall be calculated by determining the total gross cost of any such new construction, addition or accessory structure, dividing the same by one thousand dollars ($1,000), which quotient shall then be multiplied by one dollar ($1.00), and the product thereof shall be the fee to be charged.
      (2)   The fee for commercial new construction, additions or accessory structures shall be calculated by determining the total gross cost of any such new construction, addition or accessory structure, dividing the same by one thousand dollars ($1,000), which quotient shall them be multiplied by one dollar ($1.00), and the product thereof shall be the fee to be charged.
      (3)   The fee for industrial new construction, additions or accessory structures shall be calculated by determining the total gross cost of any such new construction, addition or accessory structure, dividing the same by one thousand dollars ($1,000), which quotient shall be multiplied by fifty cents ($.50), and the product thereof shall be the fee to be charged.

   (b)   The conditional zoning certificate fee schedule is as follows:
      (1)   A change in use with no construction involved, sixty-five dollars ($65.00);
      (2)   Multi-family or commercial structures and/or accessory buildings or additions, sixty-five dollars ($65.00), plus an additional fee calculated by determining the total gross cost of any such new construction, addition or accessory structure, dividing the same by one thousand dollars ($1,000), which quotient shall then be multiplied by one dollar ($1.00), and the product thereof shall be the fee to be charged.
      (3)   Industrial, recreational, institutional, governmental, quasi-public and miscellaneous structures and/or accessory structures or additions, sixty-five dollars ($65.00), plus an additional fee calculated by determining the total gross cost of any such new construction, addition, or accessory structure, dividing the same by one thousand dollars ($1,000), which quotient shall then be multiplied by fifty cents ($.50), and the product thereof shall be the fee to be charged.
   (c)   The following fee schedule shall apply for permanent signs advertising a business, service or other activity:
      (1)   Signs having an area of less than 50 square feet: twenty-five dollars (25.00);
      (2)   Signs having an area of 50 square feet or larger: fifty dollars (50.00); and
      (3)   Unlighted street identification signs not to exceed four square feet in area and traffic control devices or signs erected by the city, state or federal governments will be exempt from fees.
   (d)   An application for an interpretation, exception, variance or appeal to the Board of Zoning Appeals shall include a minimum fee of sixty-five dollars ($65.00).
   (e)   An application for an amendment to this Zoning Code shall include a fee of ninety dollars ($90.00).
   (f)   A re-application fee shall be the same as the initial application fee as described in this section.
