§ 4.04 WATER SERVICES.
   Potable water shall be made available to the subdivision as follows:
   A.   City water supply. The city may provide water mains to and into the subdivision. Cost of such infrastructure shall be borne by the developer.
   B.   Community water service. The subdivider may provide a complete water supply system, independent of the city water system when the connection to the city water system is determined as impractical. Cost of such infrastructure shall be borne by the developer and shall be constructed in accordance with the minimum requirements of the Columbia City Board of Public Works and Safety and the Indiana State Board of Health.
   C.   Individual water services. The subdivider shall provide each lot with an individual water supply source in accordance with the minimum requirements of the City and County Health Departments.
   D.   Plans for water service. The plans for any water supply infrastructure shall be prepared by the subdivider's licensed engineer and approved by the Columbia City Board of Public Works and Safety and the Indiana State Board of Health.
   E.   Recording of water supply installation. On completion of the water supply installation, two sets of the plans, as built, shall be filed with the Columbia City Board of Public Works and Safety.
   F.   Completion of water supply system. Installation of the water supply system shall be completed prior to the construction of any building on the lot.
   G.   Fire hydrants. In any subdivision served by the city water main system, or other group water supply system, fire hydrants shall be installed every 500 feet, as per § 94.016 of the City's Fire Prevention Code.
   H.   Preparation and recording of water supply services. The plans for the water supply services shall be provided by the owner/developer and prepared by a person licensed by the State of Indiana.
   I.   Abandonment of water wells. Water well abandonment shall conform to the requirements of the State of Indiana.
